Ashley + Nick | The Kelley Farms in Bonney Lake, Washington
I’m finally catching up on my blogging this week, thank goodness – I have so much to show you guys.
As much as I like to make my blogs simple and sweet with words, it’s hard to do so regarding this FABULOUS wedding of Ashley and Nick Boston. Especially since over the last couple of months I’m become very close with Ashley, so bare with me while I babble over these two.
2015 was my first "official" year as a professional photographer, and Ashley + Nick was referred to be by one of my 2015 brides. I was extremely nervous because I had just moved to Seattle and was trying to make a name for myself. When Ashley told me they wanted me, it was an extremely humbling moment. I’m in a huge city FILLED with such talent, and for me being new in the area, it was my goal by 2016 I would work my butt off to make sure I delivered quality work. They always had the kindest words to say. Probably one of the best feelings! Having friends and family support you is one thing, but when you have clients that cheer you on and always have your back, it’s honestly a completely different level of support!
When I walked onto Kelley Farms the morning of their wedding, my heart just melted. Ashley’s vision came to life. It was one of the most stunning weddings I’ve ever seen. She took Pinterest real serious when it came to DIY projects, and it definitely paid off. Every moment of the day was a dream. To call this “work” is ridiculous, it was the most fun I’ve had shooting a wedding. The whole day was relaxed, effortless, and filled with joy. I almost lost it when Nick’s dad was the one to walk Ashley down the aisle. What a perfect moment to symbolize a family gaining a daughter. During the ceremony, many words were shared between friends and family, all who talked highly of the two. They each shared their own personal vows – and then followed with their first kiss as husband and wife! Not going to lie, I shed a few tears during the whole ceremony.
I stole them for a little while to grab their bride and groom photos, then we all danced the summer night away.
Again, I could totally ramble on and on about these two, whom I can absolutely call two dear friends – but I will let the photos speak for themselves. Enjoy!
