Caitlin + Jake | Pioneer Square Seattle, Washington
Oooooo I'm so excited to share this downtown engagement session! When Caitlin and Jake booked they made it clear they wanted to get an edgy downtown look in their engagement photos, and low and behold I had found a few parking garages and alleyways I had been dying to shoot an engagement session in - so it was fate!
Jake and Caitlin are both elementary school teachers, and met at the school they both teach at. Caitlin was referred to me from a friend of mine from college and after explaining their wedding style and meeting them in person, I was so excited to have been chosen to capture their journey! They are getting married February 18th 2017, just two days before my own first year anniversary!! All the stars aligned for me to have the opportunity to shoot this chic brick and gold wedding! I CANNOT WAIT FOR IT!
We spent the evening sticking to the Pioneer Square neighborhood of downtown Seattle because the old buildings and beautiful urban colors were perfect for the look these two were envisioning. In the middle of our engagement session we crashed for a couple drinks at a local pub to help my couple relax and really get to be themselves - and I'm SO loving the photos I captured of them in the industrial styled bar that we found in one of the alleyways off Occidental Ave. We ended on the rooftop level of a parking garage, where I also ended up leaving my phone, ugh! Good thing it was still there when I returned to search for it!
