Chambers Bay Golf Course Wedding | Tacoma, Washington | Hilary + Kyle

Kyle + Hilary | Chambers Bay Golf Course Wedding in Tacoma Washington

//

We have found ourselves in uncharted territory recently with the recent impact of COVID-19. Weddings are being postponed, vendors are overwhelmed with the need to accommodate to so many couples. I, personally, am finding myself with a bit more time on my hands as inquiries/sessions have either slowed down or cancelled for the time being.

I’m learning to adjust, and with that adjustment - rather than get overwhelmed on not having any new work coming in, I’m focusing on my VERY large “When I Have Time TO DO List” - this self isolation may be exactly what my business needs. Enhancing my website for a better client experience, brainstorm other income streams I can bring to the table to offer toward clients and even fellow entrepreneur/photographers, and working on my SEO to market my brand in the best way possible. All the little but VERY big things that I’ve been procrastinating on, I’m tackling hard for the next couple of weeks.

In all of that, is blogging. It’s been so nice to have time to look back through all the work I did in 2019 and get these fabulous weddings up on the website for potential clients to view. Blogging is definitely a big component to understanding your photographer’s vibe. As photographers, we are story tellers. Blogs are a story telling experience, one that can be so helpful for those who are looking for their perfect photographer!

When I was putting Hilary and Kyle’s Chamber Bay Golf Course wedding together, it was gratifying to live through their day again. As a photographer, my priority on a wedding day is my client and their needs/wants when it comes to photos. There is a pretty standard and repetitive routine when it comes to being a wedding photographer sometimes. Sometimes it feels like you go on auto mode. I capture a wedding of 7-10 hours, then I go home to back up the wedding, cull within a week and send sneak peeks, and then get the wedding edited in a timely manner to deliver to my clients. Sometimes I don’t necessarily get a moment to truly SEE my work. When I was putting together this blog, I found myself saying “AWE LOOK AT THIS PHOTO!” or “Oh my god, this is my new favorite!” over and over. It brought me down to earth a bit, and I got to actually admire the reason a couple hires me.

This is a good one you guys, and I’m so excited to finally get this up on the blog for everyone to see! Enjoy being in the moment with Hilary and Kyle’s beautiful Chamber’s Bay wedding in Tacoma, Washington.
